“When I began taking piano lessons with Max, I had some previous piano experience but was reaching out for help to improve technique and improvisation skills. Having trained as a clarinettist completing an undergraduate degree in classical music, I was pursuing a master’s degree in music therapy and proficiency on a harmony instrument was essential. Max is extremely patient and encouraged me to study for some grades; I first sat grades 1 and 2 last year for which I gained a Distinction in both, grade 3 was earlier this year and I received a Merit.
