Max's Piano Tuition

With 30 years teaching experience and a member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA), I have successfully established my teaching career and have guided many students through their music grade exams as well as performances at local festivals, competitions and class recitals. Some of my students have achieved scholarships to the Royal College of Music and other institutions and have become professional musicians.

Individual lesson fees at your home - £15.50 for 30 minutes.

All lessons are subject to a 4 week trial period to see if you like it.

Don't own a piano but still want to learn? Lessons are available from my home in Caverswall or from a studio in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

My Approach to Teaching

My teaching approach is holistic. Offering a contemporary and motivational approach to teaching music.
My mission in life is to convey the great joy of music to as many people as possible.
People from different walks of lives, backgrounds and ages can aspire to play the piano.
Whether your wish is to play your favourite pieces or songs at leisure or in preparation for your musical education or career I can help you in developing your musical dreams.

Grade Exams

Should you wish to measure your skills, then taking exams in the different grades could enhance your development as a musician.
Preparing for exams will develop your technique, theory, Sight - Reading, listening skills, recognition and communication. Studying for exams has been proven to enhance focus and concentration, and memory.

I provide guidance to students to sit their exam through the ABRSM and Trinity syllabus' up to Grade 8 and Diploma.
